I just spent the greatest communal celebration of my adult life sitting in a dirty apartment while one of my hosts threw up and the other played computer solitaire and asked why anybody gave a damn about politics. Other than the Obama-winning, Libby Dole-smashing, South-Dakota's-actually-sane-re-women's-health-revealing parts I'm feeling rather fucking sorry for myself tonight. On the other end of the country, OTOH, there was much fun to be had, as demonstrated by my friend Jon and his sunroof:
This image of revelry brought to you by The Stranger, to whose cranky news reporter I say fuck you, you don't know what exile is.

I will totally quaff my morning coffee in your honor. That's the saddest election night story I've heard! :(
I know, the most anticlimactic reality-changing huge moment ever. Nothing quite so sad as listening to history happen outside your window. And this morning...still fluish. And Obama's still gonna be President. So it's a good day.
Ahhh, but look at the bright side, it could have been you puking. Experiencing that is worse than having to witness it.
Heh, same with the mix of ignorance and apathy displayed by the other host.
Amen on that, MFH. And yeah, Arminda -- fuck it, I blame myself. Descended on my friend's place with insufficient notice. All kinds of awkward.
I'll admit I got a little misty eyed myself when as I watched Obama deliver his victory speech last night, which is something that has never happened to me in the history of politics.
My mouth is agape regarding the Ralph Nader comment. WTF was he thinking... you know it is bad when Fox News is hammering you for it.
Argh...jacked up that post.
Anyways...*waves at AG* :P
